The NEWS (WEA) is a biennial survey of recruitment, deployment, organisation and results of labour among a representative sample of employers in the Netherlands. The NEWS focuses on a broad spectrum of organisations, including companies, government and non-profit institutions, employing at least one employee. The main purpose of the NEWS is to provide up-to-date figures and trends in labour policies, as well as the relationship and impact of those policies on organisational outcomes, labour productivity, innovation, health and safety.

The Netherlands Employers Work Survey (NEWS) is conducted by TNO in consultation with the Ministry of Social Affairs and Employment and in cooperation with Panteia.
Remarks
The results of the NEWS are made available through various publications, such as scientific articles, reports and news items. The NEWS data files can be made available to third parties under certain conditions for non-commercial research purposes. The specific conditions can be requested from TNO.
