The NSS is similar in topic and items to the Nationale Enquête Arbeidsomstandigheden (Netherlands Working Conditions Survey (NWCS)) and includes topics that concern the working conditions and employability of self-employed workers, such as working conditions, working hours, accidents at work, sickness, functioning, employability, pension and disability benefits, and training and development.
